PICLV, Inc. Employment Services

 The Private Industry Council of Lehigh  Valley, Inc. Supported Employment Program (PICSEP) assists adults  with disabilities in determining employment objectives through our  intake and assessment processes. PICSEP works in conjunction with local  businesses to be able to provide a variety of work assessments that are  used to determine the individuals strengths, likes/dislikes, supports  needed and an appropriate job goal.  

Our  job coaching staff will then work one-on-one with the individual to  develop pre-employment skills such as resume development, appropriate  work-related behaviors and interview practice. Our staff can also assist  with the interview and on-boarding process for a smooth transition to  community employment. Once hired our staff will work with the individual  and the employer to review job descriptions and develop a training plan  that best suits the employer and the employee.

Through-out  the training process our coaching staff works with the employer to  determine the individual's progress. It is our goal to help the  individual become as independent as possible however; our staff will  also work to develop natural supports on the job. In some cases  long-term support can be offered if needed for successful employment.  PIC is also an (EN) Employment Network for Social Security's Ticket to  Work Program should our customer's wish to tryout full-time employment.

In  our experience, we have observed the satisfaction and social growth of  our clients who have become successfully employed with meaningful  community work, as well as the satisfaction a diversified work place  brings to an employer and it's employees.

 The Private Industry Council of Lehigh  Valley, Inc. Ticket to Work Program (TWP)  assists adults  with disabilities that are ready to try full-time work using SSA's Trial Work Months.  PIC TWP works in conjunction with local  businesses to provide a variety of community employment opportunities.
